10-17-23

On 9-29-23 our organization reported that Ryan Michael Briggs , a disabled Veteran , has been rejected by the Texas Secretary of States office from officially filing his LLC paperwork because he has the word “Veteran” in the title.

Briggs reached out to our national organization through Victor Avila , one of our Texas endorsed congressional candidates. Victor Avila led the effort through VFAF to assist this Veteran with his business.

We ran some national press on the situation : https://fox2now.com/business/press-releases/ein-presswire/658701197/texas-veteran-ryan-briggs-blocked-by-secretary-of-states-office-from-filing-his-llc-business-registration/

We are thrilled to report after Victor Avila worked with our Texas State Chapter of Veterans for America First the effort resulted in getting the assistance Ryan Michael Briggs needed to launch his business with approval from the Texas Secretary of State’s office.

Veteran Ryan Briggs issued a statement :

“Thanks to Victor Avila’s support for Veterans and Veteran owned small businesses, he successfully help with the approval of my LLC using the word “Veteran” as part of my company name that was initially denied by the Texas Veterans Commission. Thank you Victor Avila in getting the ball rolling, I can’t express my gratitude enough.” said Ryan Michael Briggs , disabled combat veteran.
