VFAF Cautions other grassroots level groups after being previously targeted by Iran, China and Russia during its service on the South Carolina Trump Campaign.
June 22, 2025: The US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) issued a National Terrorism Advisory System (NTAS) bulletin on Sunday (June 22) warning of a heightened threat environment within the United States due to the ongoing Iran-Israel conflict and increasing anti-US sentiment in the region.
The bulletin, effective through September 22, 2025, highlights a growing concern over both cyber and physical attacks, particularly from Iranian-linked actors and ideologically motivated extremists operating domestically.
During the Trump presidential campaign congressional investigators were aware of the targeting of grassroots leaders with foreign adversaries. Hacking, Infiltration and other methods were used to cause chaos and division. While the media is covering the targets of very large companies, grassroots should not let their guard down.
FROM VFAF JUNE 2023
From: June 8, 2023 ATLANTA, GA — Veterans for America First (VFAF), the national grassroots organization founded to support veterans and promote America First policies, was the target of a coordinated and malicious cyberattack that began on June 8, 2023. The attack, which originated from multiple foreign actors, specifically targeted VFAF’s server infrastructure with the intent to disable and disrupt operations.
According to internal logs, the organization’s servers were subjected to a series of sophisticated and repeated unauthorized login attempts. These attacks were not random or generic — they were strategic and directed at the core of the organization’s digital communications network. VFAF’s webmaster identified what appeared to be a smart worm, a form of malicious software that demonstrated the ability to intelligently navigate server environments in search of vulnerable entry points. This suggested that the attack was highly targeted and possibly customized to compromise the organization’s digital infrastructure. “These were not ordinary attempts to breach a server — they were systematic, persistent, and clearly designed to silence our movement,” said Stan Fitzgerald, Veterans for Trump/VFAF National President. “We treated this as a serious matter and responded with appropriate countermeasures to protect our systems and our mission.”
No data was breached, and all critical systems remained intact and secure. The organization promptly strengthened server protections, implemented advanced monitoring protocols, and is continuing to investigate the origin and intent behind the attack. Veterans for America First reaffirmed its commitment to standing firm in the face of adversity and protecting the voices of American veterans and patriotic citizens nationwide.
