COLUMBIA, SC — In a powerful show of commitment to America’s veterans, South Carolina Lt. Governor Pamela Evette met this week with Robert Cornicelli, National President of Veterans for America First (VFAF), to discuss expanded support services and statewide veteran outreach.

The meeting, held at the South Carolina , focused on developing practical solutions to improve the lives of veterans across the Palmetto State — including access to healthcare, housing, mental health services, and reintegration programs.

President Cornicelli stated on Twitter " VFAF will continue meeting with leaders across the country to ensure our Veterans and first responders receive the best care not the bare minimum. They served us. Now it’s our turn to fight for them. We won’t stop until they get what they’ve earned"

Robert Cornicelli: A Voice for America's Warriors

Captain Robert M. Cornicelli is a decorated veteran of two branches of this country’s military. He served alongside America’s bravest men and women for over 21 years in the US Navy and the Army National Guard fighting for our right to be free.

Under his leadership, VFAF has evolved from a grassroots network into a high-impact political and advocacy organization with presence in nearly every U.S. state. The group actively supports veterans, law enforcement, border security, and constitutional values, while endorsing political candidates aligned with those principles.

Lt. Gov. Evette: Veteran Advocacy from the Executive Office

Lt. Governor Pamela Evette, the first female Republican elected to her office in South Carolina, has consistently emphasized workforce development, education, and community wellness — all of which tie directly to reintegration challenges faced by veterans. Her administration has worked closely with the South Carolina Department of Veterans’ Affairs and nonprofit partners to improve service delivery for military families.

During the meeting, Evette and Cornicelli explored new ways state leaders can collaborate with national veteran organizations like VFAF to amplify impact, reduce bureaucratic obstacles, and strengthen community engagement.

“We owe our veterans more than just words — we owe them action,” Cornicelli said following the meeting. “This dialogue with Lt. Gov. Evette is a meaningful step forward in building veteran-first policy frameworks that can be replicated nationwide.”

VFAF’s Expanding Influence

Veterans for America First continues to expand its footprint in state-level policy and national discourse. With ambassadors and partners in South Carolina and beyond, the organization plays a growing role in shaping public conversation on how the U.S. honors and supports those who served.

The meeting marks a continued alignment between state executive leadership and the veteran-led America First movement, signaling a future where political divisions are set aside in service of those who put their lives on the line for their country.
