Veterans for America First (VFAF) is bringing bold, boots-on-the-ground solutions to the front lines of community need. Through its Vet Force initiative—an action-driven volunteer corps made up of veterans, law enforcement professionals, and patriotic civilians—VFAF is reminding the nation what real service looks like. At the center of that mission is Devonta "Sully" Sullivan, National Ambassador for VFAF and a leader in its Georgia-based Vet Force team. A former police officer and community advocate, Sullivan is taking action in the places that need it most—proving that true patriotism means stepping up, not standing by.

The initiative focuses on: Emergency relief & disaster response, Public safety advocacy, Youth mentoring & community improvement ,Support of MAGA Candidates,  Voter education & civic action.

Veterans for America First has a long history of community service efforts by team members volunteering for other organizations since 2015. In recent years during the 2024 Presidential Campaign the Georgia State Chapter delivered Truckloads of Hurricane Relief to Georgia's Fort Eisenhower base and contributed to the Trump campaign's food drive. In Montana the organization helped raised $25K for Green Star families in need.

"In our VFAF North Carolina State Chapter will will work on Vet Force initiatives in addition to the boots on the ground MAGA campaign support," said David Draper National Ambassador Veterans for America First , North Carolina VFAF State Chapter Vice President.

VFAF’s Vet Force Expands Community Outreach Across Georgia
By Staff | July 2025 | ATLANTA, GA

Across Georgia and beyond, Veterans for America First (VFAF) is leading a powerful movement that blends patriotic service with direct community action. Through its Vet Force initiative, VFAF is bringing boots-on-the-ground solutions to communities in need, guided by the belief that true leadership means stepping up—especially when no one else will.

At the forefront of this mission is Devonta “Sully” Sullivan, National Ambassador for VFAF and a former police officer whose passion for public service has shaped the direction of the organization’s Georgia outreach. Sullivan has become a driving force behind Vet Force’s most impactful efforts—serving as a reminder that patriotism is more than a word, it’s an action.

One of Vet Force’s standout efforts this summer is the complete renovation of a neglected shelter affiliated with Park Avenue Baptist Church in Atlanta. Motivated by the rise in homelessness and housing insecurity, Sullivan organized a coalition of veterans, church members, and local volunteers to restore the building into a safe haven for families in need. Under Sullivan’s leadership, the team began rebuilding from the ground up, not only transforming the physical space but also restoring dignity to those it will soon house.

“We’re not just building walls—we’re rebuilding dignity,” said Sullivan. “This is about giving people a place to rest, recover, and restart.”

The shelter project quickly became a rallying point in the community, drawing support from local businesses, neighbors, and fellow veterans. Sullivan’s efforts have become a model for grassroots-led recovery and empowerment—one room, one life at a time.

Just before the Fourth of July, Sullivan once again demonstrated what service looks like by partnering with the American Red Cross to host a holiday blood drive at the same church. With blood donations typically falling during holiday weekends, the event helped fill a critical gap in Georgia’s blood supply. The turnout was strong, and the drive was credited with saving lives during a particularly vulnerable time.

“Thanks to Devonta’s leadership, dozens of lives will be impacted,” said Kartik Bhatt, Georgia Deputy Political Director for Veterans for America First. “His work reminds us that service doesn’t take a holiday.”

The blood drive marked Sullivan’s second such initiative this year and is part of a broader effort by VFAF to promote health and resilience in underserved communities.

Earlier in the summer, the Vet Force team also hosted a community outreach event at Henra Barbershop in Atlanta, offering free grooming services along with mentorship and support for local veterans. The “Veterans Day of Service” was designed to reach people where they are—offering not just services but connection and encouragement.

Vet Force is the official field operations arm of Veterans for America First, launched in early 2025 to formalize and expand the group’s longstanding tradition of community service. Inspired by the campaign energy of Trump Force 47 and rooted in a “service over slogans” approach, Vet Force now operates in Georgia, Florida, Texas, and several other states. It is quickly gaining recognition as a national force for good.

According to Stan Fitzgerald, National President of VFAF, the launch of Vet Force represents a major evolution in the organization’s mission.

“Now it’s time to launch our own initiatives,” Fitzgerald said. “Vet Force will be the arm of Veterans for America First that works on community service in addition to the boots-on-the-ground MAGA campaign support.”

While VFAF has participated in community efforts for nearly a decade—delivering hurricane relief to Georgia’s Fort Eisenhower base and raising over $25,000 for Gold Star families in Montana—Vet Force now allows the organization to lead those efforts directly under its own banner.

Vet Force is helping reshape public perceptions of veterans by showing that their service to the nation doesn’t end when the uniform comes off. Whether they are responding to disaster, mentoring youth, or rebuilding homes, these citizen-leaders are proving that veterans are not only defenders of freedom, but also builders of stronger, safer communities.

For Sullivan and the growing ranks of Vet Force volunteers, this is just the beginning.
