Veterans for America First (VFAF) recognizes the outstanding work of the Veteran Recovery Coalition and Berkeley County officials after three veteran evictions were prevented in just the last two weeks.
“Thanks to Berkeley County Supervisor Johnny Cribb and his amazing Veterans Affairs Department and Berkeley County Government Council, Veteran Recovery Coalition prevented the eviction of three Veterans in the last two weeks. This is what partnership and rapid response look like. “Robert Cornicelli - Veteran Recovery Coalition
Robert Cornicelli also serves as the National President of VFAF Veterans for America First, where helping veterans and first responders in their time of need remains a central part of the organization's mission.
VFAF developed its Vet Force concept to turn its national network into a resource for direct community action. Vet Force initiatives have played a significant role in assisting victims of the Texas floods and supporting shelter-building efforts in the Atlanta, Georgia area. The concept encourages VFAF leaders, state teams, ambassadors, veterans, and volunteers to use their relationships and resources to respond when communities need help.
The Vet Force model provides participating efforts with organizational infrastructure, website and media support, public awareness, and, most importantly, access to a growing national network capable of connecting people and resources. VFAF encourages its members to use that network to develop local initiatives that directly benefit veterans, first responders, and their families.
“Vet Force is about taking the network we have built and putting it to work for the people who served our country and our communities. Robert Cornicelli and the Veteran Recovery Coalition are demonstrating exactly what that means—local partnerships, rapid response, and tangible results. We want our ambassadors and teams across the country to know they have VFAF’s infrastructure behind them when they step forward to help veterans and first responders in their own communities.”
