The Georgia Court of Appeals has just ruled that Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis is disqualified from the election-interference case against Trump and his co-defendants. Court says it will not take “extreme sanction” of tossing out entire indictment.
Veterans For America First Press Secretary for Georgia, Debbie Dooley, issued the following statement regarding the ruling of the Georgia Court of Appeals disqualifying Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis and her office from prosecuting Donald J. Trump and his co-defendants for election interference because of her relationship with Special Prosecutor Nathan Wade.
"Veterans For America First (VFAF) was pleased when the Georgia Court of Appeals disqualified Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis AND her office from prosecuting Donald J. Trump and his co-defendants from the election interference case."
"VFAF has, from the beginning, strongly condemned what we believe is a politically motivated witch-hunt. The "Prosecuting Attorney's Council of Georgia" has the unenviable task of trying to find another prosecutor to continue .”
Dooley added, "Veterans For America First fully expected Willis to appeal the ruling to the Georgia Supreme Court because Georgia law allows District Attorneys to be sued for malicious prosecution. We feel that President Trump and his co-defendants have a strong case to sue Ms. Willis and we encourage them to do so."
