Today, we commemorate and pay tribute to the valiant men and women of the United States Armed Forces who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation. Memorial Day serves as an occasion for contemplation, appreciation, and solidarity. It reminds us that our liberties were secured by the valour and altruism of those who responded to the call of duty.

As we convene with friends and family, let us pause to commemorate those who did not return home and extend our support to the families enduring the burden of their absence. Their legacy endures in our dedication to defending the principles for which they struggled—liberty, justice, and tranquility.
Let us perpetuate their memories within our thoughts today and forever.
