On behalf of our veteran community and patriotic citizens across the country, we commend Mr. Coristine for his extraordinary bravery in stopping an attempted carjacking carried out by a gang of violent thugs. In the face of imminent danger, Mr. Coristine intervened without hesitation, protecting innocent lives and preventing a potentially tragic outcome. His fearless response exemplifies the kind of integrity, patriotism, and personal courage that defines the American spirit.
Acts of civilian heroism such as this remind us that standing up for what is right requires not only strength, but an unwavering commitment to protecting others—even when it's not required, expected, or safe. Edward Coristine is a model of that uncommon valor.
