Texas , Veterans for America First (VFAF) proudly announces its endorsement of Thomas Smith for Judge of the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals, Place 3, as endorsed by Kimberly Taiko Moyers, Texas Vice President of Veterans for America First.
Thomas Smith is a proven conservative leader, constitutional originalist, and tireless watchdog within Texas’s judicial system. For more than a decade, he has served alongside Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, widely recognized as one of the nation’s most effective and principled defenders of the rule of law.
Throughout his career, Thomas Smith has played a critical role in crafting and advancing landmark legislation to combat human trafficking, delivering meaningful protections for children and young women against predatory criminal networks that threaten Texas communities. His work reflects a steadfast commitment to public safety, justice, and moral clarity.
A fierce defender of religious liberty, Thomas has led efforts to enact laws protecting churches and faith-based organizations from being forced to violate their deeply held beliefs in adoption and social service processes. He has also been a strong advocate for the religious freedoms of military chaplains, standing against ongoing efforts to undermine their ability to serve with conscience and conviction.
