Steve Orosco: From the Cage to the Community
Steve Orosco isn’t your typical mayoral candidate. Born to a Trinidadian father and Scottish-Canadian mother, he grew up valuing grit, discipline, and opportunity. After earning advanced business degrees and launching several successful ventures, he stepped into the cage—as a professional MMA fighter. Known as “Mr. Smash,” Steve built a national MMA league and opened a gym in Milford, where he’s inspired youth through strength, structure, and mentorship.
Now a New Haven resident, husband, and father, Steve’s ready to fight for his city. He’s running for mayor to take on what he calls decades of failed leadership. His priorities? Safer streets, smaller classrooms, lower taxes, and real support for working families. He’s unapologetically pro-police, anti-sanctuary policies, and aligned with MAGA principles—calling for accountability, border security, and fiscal responsibility.
Steve Orosco believes New Haven doesn’t need another politician—it needs a fighter. And he’s stepping into the ring once again.
