Veterans for America First Texas Endorses Shilo Platts for Jefferson County Republican Party Chairman
Jefferson County, Texas — Veterans for America First (VFAF) Texas Vice President Kimberly Taiko Moyers today announced the organization’s endorsement of Shilo Platts for Jefferson County Republican Party Chairman, praising his proven grassroots leadership, unwavering conservative principles, and steadfast commitment to supporting America’s veterans.
“Veterans for America First Texas is thrilled and honored to proudly endorse Shilo Platts for Jefferson County Republican Party Chairman,” said Moyers. “Shilo Platts stands as a dynamic, unwavering force in Southeast Texas conservative leadership — a passionate political activist, insightful commentator, and dedicated Republican powerhouse rooted in the heart of the Golden Triangle in Beaumont.”
Platts currently serves as President of the Golden Triangle Young Republicans, where he has focused on energizing and expanding the next generation of principled conservatives. He also serves as an Area Director for the True Texas Project, supporting grassroots efforts to defend constitutional principles, promote traditional values, and advance the Texas way of life.
Platts is the host of “Texas Talkin’,” where he addresses major political and cultural issues from an unapologetically conservative viewpoint, delivering analysis aimed at mobilizing citizen involvement and strengthening local activism.
A Traditional Catholic, Platts has emphasized that faith and moral clarity must remain central to public life and civic leadership. In 2025, he helped deliver Ten Commandments posters to Beaumont ISD classrooms in compliance with Texas law, underscoring his commitment to restoring timeless principles in schools and communities.
Moyers highlighted Platts’ record of practical, results-oriented activism — from high-energy endorsements and strategic meet-and-greets to coalition-building alongside Texas legislators and conservative champions — as evidence of his readiness to lead the Jefferson County Republican Party.
“Above all, Shilo Platts is deeply committed to our veterans — honoring their sacrifice, advocating for their needs, and ensuring America First policies uplift those who have defended our freedoms,” Moyers said. “This is the moment for strong, visionary leadership in Jefferson County. Shilo embodies courage, integrity, and relentless drive. He is the leader Jefferson County deserves.”
Veterans for America First Texas urged Jefferson County Republicans to unite behind Platts to strengthen party organization, expand voter engagement, and advance conservative priorities across Southeast Texas.
“Join me in supporting Shilo Platts — a proven fighter, a true patriot, and the conservative leader Jefferson County needs right now,” Moyers concluded. “Together, we will build on our victories and keep Texas strong, free, and faithful.”
Endorsed with pride and full conviction,
Kimberly Taiko Moyers
