Veterans for America First Endorses James Ebert for Constable
Madison County, Kentucky – 3rd District
Veterans for America First (VFAF) proudly endorses James Ebert for Constable in Madison County’s 3rd District, Kentucky, ahead of the Republican Primary on May 19, 2026 announced VFAF's Shayne Snavely.
VFAF—founded in 2015 as the original Veterans for Trump grassroots movement—is a veteran-led organization dedicated to strong national defense, protecting the rights of veterans and first responders, securing our borders, and supporting candidates who prioritize American citizens, freedom, liberty, and selfless service.
James Ebert embodies these principles through a lifetime of honorable public service.
James began his law enforcement career with the Nicholasville Police Department, then spent more than 14 years with the Frankfort Police Department, where he rose through the ranks to Lieutenant and Assistant Night Shift Commander. In 2016, he was selected as Richmond Police Chief, serving with distinction for four and a half years until his retirement in 2021. During his tenure, James rebuilt community trust, supported officers, strengthened inter-agency relationships, and upheld law and order.
In addition to his law enforcement career, James served 20 years in the United States Marine Corps Reserve and the United States Navy, both enlisted and as an officer. From 2010 to 2016, he commanded three Navy Reserve Security units, demonstrating exceptional leadership across both military and civilian service.
Educationally, James holds associate degrees from Central Texas College, a bachelor’s degree in Public Administration/Law Enforcement from Upper Iowa University (2011), and a master’s degree in Justice Administration from the University of the Cumberlands. He has also completed Kentucky’s Department of Criminal Justice Training executive development course and continues to contribute as a leader in criminal justice education.
Now, James is stepping forward once again to serve his community as Constable for Madison County’s 3rd District, where he will enforce the law countywide, serve legal processes, support the sheriff and deputies, defend local communities, champion veteran and first responder rights, and advance America First priorities at the local level.
“I’m honored to stand with fellow veterans in supporting proven leaders who put America First every single day,” said Shayne Snavely, U.S. Army veteran of the 101st Airborne Division, VFAF National Ambassador, and Vice President of the Virginia State Chapter of Veterans for America First.
“Veterans know what real sacrifice and accountability look like. We back leaders who have proven—through action—that they fight for their communities every day. James Ebert has done exactly that throughout his extraordinary career.”
VFAF encourages voters to join us in supporting James Ebert for Constable in Madison County, Kentucky, and to vote in the Republican Primary on May 19, 2026.
