VFAF Endorsement of Berney Flowers for Maryland's 3rd Congressional District election, 2026

Veterans for America First proudly endorses Lt. Col. Berney Flowers, U.S. Air Force (Ret.), for Congress in Maryland’s 3rd Congressional District.

Lt. Col. Flowers has devoted his life to service, first to his country in uniform, and now to the people of Maryland. He is a proven leader who stands with America’s law enforcement officers, first responders, and veterans. His dedication to protecting those who protect us makes him exactly the kind of representative Maryland needs in Washington.

Berney Flowers played an essential role in helping draft both the Veterans First Act and the HALO Bill, landmark legislation championed by Veterans for America First. These initiatives strengthen protections for law enforcement officers, expand support for first responders, and safeguard the benefits our veterans have earned through sacrifice and service.

Beyond his work for veterans and law enforcement, Lt. Col. Flowers is deeply committed to improving education and restoring civic understanding in Maryland. He believes every child deserves access to a safe learning environment and a quality education that prepares them for life, not just tests. Berney is determined to bring civics back into Maryland’s schools, ensuring students learn the founding principles of our Republic, the duties of citizenship, and the importance of service to community and country.

Lt. Col. Flowers represents the best of America: discipline, compassion, and patriotism in action. He understands that national strength begins at home, with safe schools, strong communities, and respect for those who serve.

For these reasons, Veterans for America First proudly and unequivocally endorses Lt. Col. Berney Flowers for Congress in Maryland’s 3rd District. He is a warrior, a statesman, and a patriot ready to fight for the people he has always served.
