Veterans for America First Endorses Patty Hamilton for Ohio House of Representatives – District 12

Veterans for America First (VFAF) proudly endorses Patty Hamilton for the Ohio House of Representatives in District 12, announced VFAF’s Shayne Snavely.

VFAF—founded in 2015 as the original Veterans for Trump grassroots movement—is a veteran-led organization dedicated to strong national defense, protecting the rights of veterans and first responders, securing our borders, and supporting candidates who prioritize American citizens, freedom, liberty, and selfless service.

Patty Hamilton embodies these principles through a lifetime of dedicated and honorable service.

Patty served 30 years in the U.S. Army Reserves as a Military Police Officer, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel. Her service included combat tours in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom, where she served as Theater Detainee Reporting Center Chief, and in Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom as Provost Marshal for Kandahar Airfield and Customs Clearance Officer in Charge for all of Afghanistan. She also served at the Pentagon as National Detainee Reporting Center Operations Officer and concluded her military career as Battalion Commander of a Military Police Training Battalion. Her valor and leadership earned numerous awards, including the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, and others.

Her extensive military training includes Basic Combat Training, Military Police School, Officers Basic and Advanced Courses, Combined Arms and Services Staff School (CAS3), and Command and General Staff College (CGSS) / Intermediate Level Education (ILE), among other specialized planning, leadership, and operational courses.

In her civilian career, Patty has served in a wide range of roles reflecting her commitment to public service and adaptability, including leadership and advocacy positions within the Department of Veterans Affairs, education roles across multiple states, and work in law enforcement, investigations, auditing, and corporate management.

Educationally, Patty holds a Master of Science in Education from Walden University, a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Central Missouri State University, and a Teaching Certificate from Armstrong Atlantic State University.

Patty is also deeply rooted in her community. She has been a member of the Pickaway County Republican Central Committee for three years and the Soldier’s Monumental Association for six years, where she currently serves as Treasurer and Corresponding Secretary. She is also a member of America First Now (AFN), Ohio Farm Bureau, Pickaway County Agricultural Society, the Pickaway County Sportsman Club, the NRA, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars (lifetime member), among other civic and community organizations. She and her family have renovated and manage 10 high-quality rental homes as part of a successful small business operation.

Now, Patty is stepping forward to serve Ohio House District 12—covering Pickaway County, Madison County, and western Franklin County—fighting for integrity in government, constitutional freedoms, parents’ rights, the protection of biological girls in sports, farmers and small businesses, lower taxes, Ohio energy independence, and America First priorities at the state level where they impact families the most.

“I’m honored to stand with fellow veterans in supporting proven leaders who put America First every single day,” said Shayne Snavely, VFAF National Ambassador and Vice President of the Virginia State Chapter of Veterans for America First.

“Veterans know what real sacrifice and accountability look like. We back leaders who have proven—through action—that they fight for their communities every day. Patty Hamilton has done exactly that throughout her extraordinary career.”

VFAF encourages voters to join us in supporting Patty Hamilton for Ohio House District 12.

America First starts at home—in Ohio and across the nation.
