Texas VFAF Welcomes Governor Abbott and State Leaders at Fort Bend County Republican Fundraiser

FORT BEND COUNTY, Texas — The Texas State Chapter of Veterans for America First (VFAF) was represented Tuesday evening at a sold-out Republican fundraiser in Fort Bend County honoring Texas State Representatives Matt Morgan and Gary Gates.

The event brought together elected officials, veterans, Republican leaders, community members, and grassroots supporters ahead of the November elections.

Justin Schiro, Texas Media Relations Officer for Veterans for America First, greeted Texas Governor Greg Abbott, the Speaker of the Texas House, State Representative Matt Morgan, and State Representative Gary Gates during the evening’s gathering.

Schiro is a United States Army veteran who served in Afghanistan with the 10th Mountain Division and represents the Texas State Chapter of VFAF in media and public-relations activities.

Governor Abbott and the Speaker joined Representatives Morgan and Gates at the event, which drew a capacity crowd from Fort Bend County and surrounding communities. State leaders addressed attendees on issues affecting Texas and the upcoming November elections.

Fort Bend County Judge Daniel Wong also attended the gathering alongside state officials, veterans, local leaders, and members of the community.

The sold-out fundraiser provided an opportunity for elected officials and community leaders to meet with supporters and discuss issues important to Fort Bend County and the State of Texas.

The Texas State Chapter of Veterans for America First continues to engage with elected officials, veterans, and community leaders throughout the state while advocating for veterans, constitutional government, public safety, national security, and policies affecting military families.
