Veterans for America First Announces Kimberly Taiko Moyers appointed to National Board as National Vet Force Director

COBB COUNTY, GA — Veterans for America First (VFAF), the original 2015 Veterans for Trump grassroots organization, announces that Kimberly Taiko Moyers, a United States Navy Veteran, has joined the VFAF National Board and will serve as National Vet Force Director. Moyers also serves as Vice President of the VFAF Texas State Chapter and has been a leading voice in veterans’ healthcare accountability, grassroots reform, and rapid-response community operations.

Moyers has been recognized within VFAF as a National Vet Force leader and veterans-rights advocate whose work centers on healthcare choice, transparency, and timely access to care. In Texas, she organized a grassroots effort that gathered more than 1,000 signatures in support of the Veterans Healthcare Freedom Act, a veterans-choice reform initiative associated with U.S. Senator Marsha Blackburn, while simultaneously advancing Texas-led state reform efforts focused on transparency, due process protections, and improving access to timely care for veterans.

In a 2023 “Today with Tally” interview (Episode 102), Moyers discussed how her advocacy was shaped by firsthand experience navigating barriers within the veterans healthcare system. She described high-stakes delays and administrative obstacles that can arise when veterans seek specialized care, community-care referrals, and reliable accountability when services are not delivered as promised. Moyers highlighted the real-world disconnect between official provider lists and actual availability, and how confusion and bureaucratic hurdles can compound medical urgency. Her ongoing work emphasizes documentation and verification, including FOIA-driven oversight and hands-on tracking through the Log Book initiative, aimed at ensuring veterans’ experiences are supported by provable records that can be presented to public officials and decision-makers.

Moyers’ appointment also reflects her operational leadership within Vet Force, VFAF’s national volunteer mobilization program officially inaugurated in January 2025. Vet Force deploys veterans, first responders, and community volunteers for disaster relief operations and other mission-focused service work, including public safety advocacy and community support initiatives.

During the July 2025 Texas floods, Moyers and her team executed a large-scale relief effort, delivering seven fully loaded trucks and three trailers of essential supplies to flood victims. Reports from the operation described Moyers as on the ground at VFW Post 8800 in Startzville (Startz Memorial VFW Post 8800) distributing critical supplies and establishing an organized relief hub. The site was described as the only functioning distribution center in the area at one point, providing residents dependable access to necessities including food, water, diapers, and pet supplies. Moyers also joined search-and-rescue efforts staged out of Kerrville, assisting response teams working to locate missing individuals and support families impacted by the disaster.

Moyers, along with her husband Dakota Moyers—also a U.S. Navy veteran—had been highlighted for sustained service beyond initial emergency response. VFAF’s “Hero of the Month” July 2025 recognition described their decision to self-deploy into the disaster zone without seeking attention, to convert the VFW post into a functional distribution center, and to remain engaged in supply coordination and volunteer organization after many others had departed. The recognition further noted their participation with additional grassroots community efforts in Texas, including Project Defiant.

As National Vet Force Director, Moyers will lead the continued expansion and coordination of Vet Force teams nationwide, strengthening VFAF’s capacity for rapid-response relief operations, logistics coordination, and state-based deployment readiness. Her role will also support VFAF’s broader mission of advancing veterans’ issues, improving healthcare accountability, and organizing community-based service initiatives consistent with the organization’s America First grassroots model.
