Dr. Takosh Swan named VFAF Ambassador.
Swan is a US Army combat veteran who served in Iraq in 2003. Swan also served with the Georgia Army National Guard during Hurricane Katrina. Swan is also a highly accomplished composer and singer. Swan is running for Lt. Governor in Georgia where she will also be discussing the Veterans for America First mission throughout the campaign with the people of Georgia.
Dr. Takosha Misheal Swan is a relentless advocate for stronger families, respected leaders, and progressive communities in America. She uses her intellect, cognitive skills, experiential wisdom, education, privileges as an American citizen and plain love to build her visions of success. Takosha is a Governor Appointed Public Official for veterans in Georgia. She is a recipient of an honorary doctrine in humanitarianism, recipient of the U.S Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award, and Takosha has received two commendations from her Governor, Brian Kemp for her work with veterans, servicemembers and their families.
Takosha served in two military branches: The Army that led her to in Iraq during the Iraqi Freedom War in 2003, and she later supported Hurricane Katrina with the Georgia Army National Guard. Takosha has also served her country as a military spouse, and she is the mother of 3 lovely children. She has been recognized with House Resolution 590 from the Georgia House of Representative for composing and singing “The Veteran Anthem” which honors the heroes of America and supports their mental health. Takosha has received the Unsung Hero award from U.S Representative Hank Johnson and the Rockin’ Women of Rockdale award from the Rockdale County Chair Commissioner, Oz Nesbitt. She is a featured singer with The Alpharetta Symphony Orchestra for the annual patriotic tribute to veterans, service-members, and their families with a Commissioner of Alpharetta Georgia. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business management and a master’s in business administration. Takosha is businesswoman owning several entities. She is the founder of her non-profit The Veteran Anthem, Inc.
