From a MAGA standpoint, what happened in Minneapolis underscores the urgent need for law and order and robust enforcement of America’s immigration laws. In the midst of President Trump’s largest federal immigration enforcement operation ever in the Twin Cities, a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent — part of the brave men and women sent to uphold the law — was forced to make a split-second decision when a vehicle threatened the safety of officers executing lawful duties in south Minneapolis. While left-wing politicians and protesters have seized on the tragic death of Renee Good to attack ICE, federal leaders, including DHS Secretary Kristi Noem and President Trump, rightly defended the agent’s actions as self-defense in the face of danger and reaffirmed the imperative of backing the thin blue line that keeps our communities safe. MAGA supporters see this incident not as an excuse to defund federal law enforcement but as a reminder that Americans deserve secure borders, respect for the rule of law, and full support for officers carrying out tough missions in hostile jurisdictions.
