VFAF President Robert Cornicelli Launches Petition to Canonize Charlie Kirk
Veterans for America First (VFAF) is proud to announce that its National President, Robert M. Cornicelli, a devout Catholic and retired U.S. Army and Navy veteran, has initiated a formal petition requesting the Holy See to grant a papal exception to consider Charlie Kirk for canonization.
Charlie Kirk, born in Arlington Heights, Illinois, is widely recognized for his fearless defense of truth, faith, family, and freedom. While not formally a member of the Catholic Church, his lifelong commitment to upholding moral principles and defending Christian values has inspired countless Americans and international observers.
In a letter addressed to Cardinal Blase Joseph Cupich of the Archdiocese of Chicago, President Cornicelli emphasizes that Charlie Kirk’s life and untimely death demonstrate extraordinary witness to the values central to the Christian faith, including the defense of human dignity, the sanctity of life, and the courage to speak truth in the face of hostility. The petition calls for the Church to prayerfully consider a papal exception, allowing his exemplary life to be formally recognized within the canonization process.
“The Lord works in mysterious ways, and Charlie Kirk’s legacy embodies the spirit of unwavering courage and devotion to truth that our faith honors,” said Robert Cornicelli. “This petition is not only a recognition of his heroic witness, but also a testament to the values of faith, family, and freedom that Veterans for America First seeks to uphold in every endeavor.”

Your Holiness @Pontifex , we respectfully ask that you grant an exemption for Charlie Kirk from the requirement of being Catholic for canonization. He was assassinated while spreading the word of Christ, making him a martyr in the name of Jesus.https://t.co/6K9lrMrAWD
