Veterans for America First Texas Endorses Leigh Wambsganss for Texas Senate District 9 in January 31 Special Runoff Election

Texas — Veterans for America First Texas Vice President Kimberly Taiko Moyers today announced an enthusiastic endorsement of Leigh Wambsganss for Texas Senate District 9 in the January 31 Special Runoff Election.

“Leigh is the daughter of an Army Veteran, and she deeply understands the profound sacrifices made by our service members and the lasting impact on their families,” said Moyers. “That personal connection fuels her unwavering commitment to those who have served our nation.”

Moyers noted that Wambsganss has demonstrated tangible support for veterans through her work as a Congressional Liaison, helping connect veterans with the care and services they have earned. “Leigh has been a proven advocate,” Moyers added. “She has walked the halls of the Texas Legislature and testified boldly to uphold our constitutional values and defend the principles that make America strong.”

According to Moyers, Wambsganss will bring integrity, courage, and dedication to the Texas Senate with a focus on prioritizing veterans, the Texas National Guard, and the men and women who protect Americans’ freedoms.

“In the great state of Texas, we honor service, sacrifice, and strength,” Moyers said. “Leigh Wambsganss will stand as a tireless champion for veterans—ensuring they are never forgotten and always put first.”

Moyers also emphasized the importance of turnout in a special runoff election. “Turnout is always low in special elections,” she said. “Join me in supporting Leigh—she is the leader our veterans and our state deserve. Together, let’s secure a brighter, stronger future for those who have given so much.”
