Veterans for America First Proudly Endorses Senator Norman Sanderson for Re-Election to the North Carolina Senate

Veterans for America First (VFAF) is honored to officially endorse State Senator Norman W. Sanderson (R-District 2) for re-election to the North Carolina Senate. Senator Sanderson has consistently demonstrated the character, values, and leadership our state and nation need in these critical times.

A lifelong North Carolinian, Senator Sanderson grew up on a family farm in Columbus County, where he and his six siblings learned the value of hard work and perseverance. From his early days in agriculture, to serving as a law enforcement officer and drug enforcement agent for the Pamlico County Sheriff’s Office, to becoming a Christian school principal and successful small business owner, Sanderson’s life reflects a deep commitment to service, faith, and community.

For the past twelve years, Senator Sanderson has faithfully represented the people of District 2 in the North Carolina Senate. His record of advancing conservative principles—smaller government, lower taxes, the right to life, and safeguarding individual liberties—has earned him the respect of colleagues and constituents alike. In recognition of his dedication, he was inducted into the North Carolina Republican Party Hall of Fame during its 20th biennial awards banquet, a testament to his decades of selfless service to the Republican cause.

Since defeating a four-term Democrat incumbent in 2010 with an impressive 64 percent of the vote, Senator Sanderson has continued to earn the confidence of the people, winning every race since then by no less than 63 percent. He serves with integrity, guided by his faith in Jesus Christ and supported by his wife, Linda, as they work together to strengthen families, defend freedom, and honor our veterans.

"Veterans for America First proudly stands with Senator Norman Sanderson, a Hall of Fame statesman, proven conservative, and champion of North Carolina values," said David Draper, Vice President, North Carolina State Chapter.
