VFAF Endorsement of James Matlock for Commissioner of the Railroad Commission of Texas

Veteran James Matlock Endorsed Commissioner for the Railroad Commission of Texas

"As a U.S. Marine veteran and proven leader in the oil and gas industry, Jim Matlock represents the kind of integrity and experience Texans deserve on the Railroad Commission. His commitment to protecting property rights, reducing waste, and standing up for independent producers makes him the clear choice for Commissioner. Veterans for America First is proud to stand with Jim in this critical race for Texas energy independence."

— Kim Moyers, Texas State Chapter Vice President, National Ambassador, Veterans for America First

Jim Matlock is a native Texan who proudly served his country as a U.S. Marine and is ready to serve the land and mineral owners of Texas by protecting independent property owners, individual mineral owners, and the independent producers of oil and gas in our state as the next Commissioner for the Railroad Commission of Texas.

In addition to gaining leadership skills as a U.S. Marine, Jim has eighteen years of field experience in oil and gas—from title work, to truck supervisor, to small business owner and consultant.

His most profound quote is: "Don't tell me there's an energy crisis when I am still seeing waste." Jim is running to reduce or eliminate oilfield waste and to give every Texan a voice on oil and gas policy.
