VFAF Appoints Steve Maxwell as National Ambassador from Virginia

Spotsylvania, Virginia: Veterans for America First (VFAF), the original 2015 Veterans for Trump grassroots organization, is proud to announce the appointment of Steve Maxwell as National Ambassador representing the Commonwealth of Virginia. Steve Maxwell is a conservative leader, combat veteran, and seasoned law enforcement professional whose lifelong record of service reflects an unwavering commitment to the Constitution, accountability, and the rule of law.

Maxwell proudly served in the United States Army’s 82nd Airborne Division, assigned to the 1st Battalion, 325th Airborne Infantry Regiment (1/325 AIR). A two-time Gulf War combat veteran, his military service forged the leadership, discipline, and constitutional fidelity that continue to define his career.

Following his honorable military service, Maxwell began a distinguished law enforcement career in 1983. He served in frontline Road Patrol, as a Detective handling sensitive investigations requiring analytical precision and constitutional adherence, and as a K-9 Handler in a highly specialized operational role demanding advanced training and officer safety leadership.

In addition to public service, Maxwell successfully built and operated a private business for over 17 years, demonstrating leadership, fiscal responsibility, and real-world executive experience outside of government. He currently serves in federal law enforcement, where his work emphasizes professionalism, ethical standards, due process, and equal application of the law.

In 2023, Maxwell successfully defended himself against a politically motivated Hatch Act complaint filed with the U.S. Office of Special Counsel (OSC). His victory reinforced core constitutional principles protecting federal employees’ rights as citizens to engage in civic discourse. The experience strengthened his resolve to confront bureaucratic overreach and defend individual liberties.

Maxwell was also a 2023 candidate for Sheriff of Spotsylvania County, Virginia, running on a platform centered on constitutional policing, leadership accountability, and restoring public trust in law enforcement. Beyond his service career, Maxwell is the creator and host of “Community Talk,” a successful weekly live program on Meta platforms focused on government accountability, public safety, civic engagement, and conservative public policy.

As part of his new role with Veterans for America First: Maxwell’s new talk show will be featured on the VFAF national platform. He will conduct interviews with America First candidates and grassroots MAGA activists. He will help promote and advance President Trump’s agenda through veteran-led civic engagement.

“Steve Maxwell embodies the warrior ethos and constitutional principles that define Veterans for America First,” said Jared Craig, Esq., VFAF Chief Legal Counsel and National Vice President. “His combat service, law enforcement leadership, and proven willingness to stand up to weaponized bureaucracy make him a powerful voice for veterans and for the America First movement.”

As National Ambassador from Virginia, Maxwell will help expand VFAF’s grassroots presence, strengthen veteran engagement, and amplify the voices of constitutional conservatives nationwide. Veterans for America First remains committed to supporting strong national defense, limited government, individual liberty, election integrity, and the America First policies that put American citizens first.
