Veterans for America First (VFAF) NC State Chapter Advances Bipartisan Education Priorities

Veterans for America First (VFAF) believes that Saving America begins in the schools. A strong nation depends on preparing our children with the skills, knowledge, and values necessary to succeed. While VFAF maintains that a conservative effort is essential to ensuring accountability and excellence in education, we also recognize the importance of working across party lines when needed to achieve positive results for students.

In Martin County, North Carolina, this vision was recently reflected when Veteran Jimbo Shiver, President of the official VFAF North Carolina State Chapter, Martin County GOP Chairman, and a member of the Martin County Board of Education for Martin Community College, joined with Democrat Congressman Don Davis in an effort to further education for the children at Jamesville Elementary School.

Shared bipartisan goals such as improving teacher recruitment and retention, expanding access to broadband and technology, supporting literacy and STEM initiatives, and ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment are crucial to the future of Martin County’s students. By engaging in efforts like these, VFAF emphasizes that while America’s strength lies in conservative principles, progress for our children can be best achieved through cooperative action when the mission is shared.

VFAF proudly credits Jimbo Shiver for his leadership and dedication to ensuring that children in Martin County and across North Carolina receive the tools they need to succeed, reflecting our belief that education is a frontline in the mission to save America’s future.
